Audi ‘Green Police’ social media campaign proving successful

In a bid to raise essential green issues, Audi created a series of social media virals to screen during the Super Bowl ads watched my millions.

Both the ad and the social media elements introduce the Green Police, an enforcement team created to protect and conserve the environment.

In appropriate Super Bowl satirical fashion, the Green Police produce "Public Service Announcements" designed to advise consumers on ways that they can make better choices to protect the environment.

In one scene a man is ‘arrested’ for possession of an ‘incandescent light bulb’, while a shopper is charged for saying the ‘magic’ word plastic at the checkout.

As winners of Green Car Journals 2010 Green Car of the Year and the success of the Audi A3 TDI clean diesel last year, Audi continue to make great steps in improving car efficiency towards the environment and raise awareness within the public domain.

Viewers can also take part in a Green Police quiz, designed to help the public understand the right choices when making complex decisions each day in order to become better global citizens.
