RS 5 debuts in Geneva, ready for October launch.

Thirty years after the original Audi quattro captivated the Geneva Motor Show, the new Audi RS 5 Coupe looks set to continue the impressive trend.
A combination of high-revving V8 power, super fast S tronic twin-clutch gear shifting and a new evolution of the world famous all-wheel-drive system featuring the latest differential technology, means that the RS 5 is set to shine in the later part of 2010.
Following its debut at the 2010 Geneva Show, the extreme RS reinterpretation of the elegant A5 two-door is expected to open for order in the UK in the spring priced at circa £57,480, reaching its first customers in October.
Power will come from Audi's venerable 4.2-litre V8 - the same engine used by the RS4. Hooked up to a seven-speed S Tronic twin-clutch gearbox as standard and using Audi's legendary Quattro all-wheel drive, it should provide exceptional performance. Taking a mere 4.6 seconds on a 0-60mph sprint and a top speed of 155mph, Audi have created pure speed with style.
A new compact and lightweight centre differential means up to 85 per cent of the power can be sent to the rear tyres for a sporty driving experience. A rear differential can also be added to improve the on-limit handling.
A vibrant driving experience is further availed with a choice of three driving modes – comfort, auto and dynamic.
The latest generation version of the Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) system, as used by the RS 6, also contributes to the exceptional handling capabilities exhibited by the RS 5.
